What really happened to Pepsi Paloma:

SPOLARIUM. Its one of their songs I'm mad about that i can even play it 5 times a row. haha. Every fan knows the lyrics, and can sing along each time it will be played whether its the Ehead's original version or that of Imago's. You'll love the song, you'll sing along but you wont understand or realized what it wants to depict. Its VAGUE, PERPLEX, CONFUSING yet everyone loves singing it. I heard that its all about alcoholism, suicide, Ely's song of quitting the group, etc. But what does it really mean? We all know that Spolarium was painted by Juan Luna during the 19th century. Does it have to do with the song? I came across a blog which tried to decipher it, in hope of giving justification to the words made by Ely. The lyrics was literally translated to English with additional explanation of spolarium and other significant facets in the song. But still, he or she wasn't able to give a good conclusion. it was then by scrolling down that i was able to notice a comment made be one who i assumed to be a UP student. We all know that the band came from UP. ..AND I WAS SURPRISED.

There is doubt but whether it is true or not, I guess that's the beauty of Ely's work. Mystifying. Professors here in the University of the Philippines know about it and they share it in class whenever the song comes in discussions. It is actually the story of the rape victim Pepsi who were allegedly raped by Vic, Joey, and someone –I forgot the name. She was made to drink too much by the three (this is described in the first 3 stanzas of the song) and when she was unconscious, they raped her. Pepsi died when she was about to cry out for justice. There were rumors that Pepsi did not commit suicide but she was killed to stop her from testifying in court. So after knowing that, the song is pretty much direct except for some parts like “itigil muna ang pag-ikot ng mundo”. We can interpret this part differently. It can mean that the victim wanted her oppressors to stop their manipulations or she was just too tired of everything that’s happening that she wanted the world to just stop. Pepsi was not able to receive justice. Until now, there is no closure to her case. And whether Vic and Joey were guilty, no one can prove it. I assume Ely Buendia, who wrote the song, learned about Pepsi’s misery when he was still in the university. Maybe for him, even if Pepsi was not able to testify, the song would speak out the truth. Ayon kay Pepsi Paloma, umano'y mismong si Tito Sotto ang pumilit sa kanya na pirmahan ang affidavit of desistance para hindi matuloy ang kasong may parusang bitay. Tuluyang napigil ang pag-inog ng katarungan nang nagpakumbaba ang mga komedyante at naglabas ng public apology sa husgado kung saan inamin din ng mga ito ang nagawang krimen sa starlet na nagbigti ilang taon ang nakalipas dahil sa umano'y hindi pa rin nakalimutan ang kahalayang ginawa sa kanya ng mga artistang kabilang ngayon sa likod ng kandidatura ni Poe. YOLANDA ghost seen in dashcam

SCARY EXPERIENCE LAST NIGHT FROM SAMAR GOING TO TACLOBAN.

We were at Eastern Samar for the Sistersph
School Advocacy Tour where we got stranded for two days already because
of the Signal No. 2 Typhoon. Dapat aalis na kami on the 14th pa lang
but had to turn back because the supposed path we needed to take going
to the Tacloban airport had around 6ft flood that our car couldn’t cross
and yung alternative route had been covered with landslide. We had to
wait it out till the evening where the
rain had already stopped and the government had already cleared a bit of
the road from the mud from the landslide for cars to cross.

Since this is in a far flung area. There were no street lamps and most
of the area we were crossing is uninhabited. Walang mga bahay. It was
just the road with small barangays in between but mostly just trees.
Around 40 minutes after midnight, we saw something weird....

There was a child wearing a bluish white shirt probably around 10 years
old in the middle of the road. He was in a crouching position with his
arms and hands wrapping around his head to his face. We couldn’t believe
it kasi from out of no where bigla na lang may bata tapos wala namang
barangay or houses at all in the area. Andoon lang siya sa daanan as we
crossed our car... it wasnt normal.

Napa-sigaw kami, cause not
just I, but most of us in the car saw him. We wanted to stop and come
back kasi hindi talaga kami maka-paniwala so we decided to check the
dash camera to see if there was really a child and after checking the
footage there was just a white blob-like orb figure that disappears
after a few seconds.

Our volunteer driver Sir Long was telling
us that it happens a lot to travellers where they see spirits that have
passed away during the Bagyong Yolanda. Siguro it was a spirit of a
child that passed away during the typhoon in the past, siguro.

While our staff there just told us that the area we crossed was possibly
around the Brgy Omawas, Maydolong, E. Samar where a lot of weird things
can be seen according sa mga matatanda.

We wanted to stop the
car talaga but we were warned not stop the car at all during the trip
cause the areas we were crossing is NPA infested... and hindi safe to
make a stop.

But I still can’t get him out of my mind. I saw his
pale white face and how his hands and arms travelled from the back to
his face. I don’t know. Up until now iniisip ko pa rin. If he was really
just a spirit, I hope he can find rest. If he was really a child, my
conscience will forever haunt me.
